A Letter To Our Representative Poem by Jaime Rash

Dear members of the senate and congress,
Here are some tips just in case you have another active shooter situation!

1. Barricade the doors with desks and chairs; this will make it harder for the shooter to enter the room.

2. Turn off the lights and remain quiet, hopefully the shooter will skip your room and go on to kill others.

3. If the shooter does get in, remember to run in a zig zag in order to make it harder for the shooter to aim at you.

4. If zig zagging isn't an option, remember you can lay on the ground to convince the shooter you're already dead. Covering yourself in the bodies of your peers may just help you play the roll!

5. Make sure you stay calm and DO NOT run away. Meet in the designated area in the front to make sure you get counted.

I hope you didn't have the same feelings as the kids from Columbine, Virginia Tech, Sandy Hook, Stone-man Douglas, and so many other schools.

P.s Thank you for not creating legislation to make everyone so much safer, because your 'Right to bear arms' is more important than our lives.
