A Lie I Told Myself Once Poem by AimeeLeigh Olsen

A Lie I Told Myself Once

It never occured to me
that it would come so suddenly
A look brought on by intimacy
A touch from beauty created
A faith that killed the hatred.

A perfect moment in time

Sublime
I couldn't ignore the insistent signs
It was easy for me to find clarity
in a world ruled only by vanity
Oh, my perfect circled sanctuary

And that long anticipated kiss
I once described it as flawless...

Nice write; your writing reminded me of my poem entitled 'My Proverbs 31 Wife'; perhaps you would enjoy it.
