A Light In The Dark Poem by Nishi Kant

A Light In The Dark

Walking past a lamp post on a dark night,
a thought crossed my mind,
bringing back memories,
thought I had left behind.

The brightened corner reminded me,
of someone as much bright,
who had lit up the corners of my heart,
at a time when I was fumbling in the dark,
desperately in search of a guiding star.

As I walked away with a heavy heart,
the lightened corner still stood,
in strife with the darkness in me.
On the long path I carried on,
engulfed into the darkness where I belong
