A Lighthouse Of Space Poem by Kevin Patrick

A Lighthouse Of Space

Rating: 5.0

An icey sphere of crystal tears
danced over the solar system
She saw no light, and bare no fear
for colours hid beneath her prism

She flew across the edge of night
forever on times boundless bow
her starry grace far out of sight
alone against the silent crowd

and for a time she was the ninth
maiden of the astral palace
until all nine lives were realigned
to a court of smaller stratus

And now she sits, to reign for rogues
dark queen of oblivions way
the last beacon to steer us home
Pluto, the last lighthouse of space
