A Little Bit About Myself Poem by Sarah Shifflet

I'll tell you a little bit about myself
ever since I was born my life's been a living hell.
People tell me I shouldnt say half the things I've said
like how I am good at nothing, and that I'd be better off dead.
I guess it's just hard for me to accept, some of the compliments I get
Mainly because I'm used to put downs, but slowly im learning to put my foot down and stick up for myself, still I can't see anything at all that good about me. Quite a few people have told me I have a good personality and I shouldnt think in such a negative way.
It's harder than it sounds though
when my whole life hell is all I've known.
