A Loaded Alice Poem by Jennifer Colyne Hall

A Loaded Alice

Rating: 5.0

Another bandit -

lands with a thump

Trapped, no way out

smooth talker

Hands on his iron

words like silk

Insert one at a time

so gentle, disengage

The eye of the firing chamber

Before you he was there

'Unhand ye young girl'

Aim sight

for the perfect existence

Target in sight

a plan woven so tight

Whirlwind to eternity

Always treat her -

As if she were.....

A loaded Alice

A princess needs

a well armed defence

Jam it into your shoulder

Look down that blu

and pull the trigger

He's stolen your heart -

a theif in the night
