My eyes closed tight
Spinning, falling
Pitch black
My nose deceives me
Heavenly scents
Lash out at my nose
A glowing light
Struggling to expose my eyes
Slowly, slowly
Time almost seems to stop
No worries
No fears
My eyes was fixed on the flavor surrounding me
Swirls of orange marmalade all around me
Endless miles
I stuck out my finger
Oh, it tasted as good as it smelled
Nothing mattered much at all
It feels like a pipe dream
A fantastic abstraction
Release me from reality
A strange way of thinking
Keep me forever
I've fallen.....
In love with the sinful influence of marmalade
I love this poem, visual and colorful. Please check out one of mine if you get time. Thanks!
i just read the poet note AFTER i had decided to send this definition of pipe dream (copied from internet) to you. little did i know i could be correct, even though i was sort of kidding (planning to be) . Origin of PIPE DREAM from the fantasies brought about by the smoking of opium First Known Use: 1896 i seem to remember an illustration in A in W of a creature (a caterpillar?) smoking from a hookah (never tried one myself) . and i think i recall hearing that L.C. did write 'under the influence'. thanks for the note and LC thanks you for the mention. i especially enjoyed: My nose deceives me Heavenly scents Lash out at my nose and: Endless miles ...........thanks for sharing. you can come down now. :)

A wonderful depiction! The title is eye catching. 'It feels like a pipe dream A fantastic abstraction Release me from reality A strange way of thinking Keep me forever I've fallen..... In love with the sinful influence of marmalade' These spiralling thoughts make us too, 'spinning, falling'!
