A Locked Room Poem by Cody O'Hara

A Locked Room

A single locked room
Small and empty
Save for myself

Here I dream

A place where all is dark
Where time exists and doesn't
And the only sound to know the truth by is the steady beating

Here I make up stories

The sun never shines
But what is 'sun'
The walls speak volumes

Here is my existence

A place where truth is arbitrary
The only rule is there are none
Feelings and opinions are truth

Here is my being

The room
There is no key, no door
Open to the world yet locked
