A Lonely Man Poem by KATOCH P C K PREM

A Lonely Man

A LONELY MAN
A man sings in monosyllables
meaning blurred is lost in distance,
between soundless vowels.
Unwilling bursts transmit tunes
in long recesses of woes
to prolong misery and so he lives alone
in the inner desert and calls
democracy a marvel
that runs a system
and brings uneven sufferings.
It stills voices as predicaments live
while a life's theory dithers
in objective indefinite.
2
In words, imperfect construction continues
to lift a tower as it hangs back
on isolated thoughts
of an inferno deep, in a void within he follows,
dives and loses identity on a busy voyage
and calls it paradisiacal firestorm.
In the quadrilateral confusion,
vehicles deafen ears,
and moistened spirits refuse counting
in respective destination
for the intent is sorrow resonant.

3
Day's journey sans foresight
in anguished stands
drives to panic and death
as the paper's headlines convey
and display words in soundless fashion.
Tunes flow in constricted lips
as quivering hearts bleed in noisy crowd
of a junction crestfallen
as life ebbs away on a deserted platform.
Perhaps tearful eyes shiver with rickety meaning
emotions unfettered know not
and yet observe,
a gradual decay in psyche of times
of a horde in wordless dialogue,
a race against time where life looks futile.

4
I watch closely as breathings tremble
air appears scarce alone and glum,
it wants escape, believes not miseries
fated to strengthen.
I go nearly hesitant afraid of me, I am
I laugh and fall with a thud and cry for help.

Stop to drag the body as a man
I am dying forlorn
mourning is difficult for me I know
so in panic I run away.
