A Loss To Early In Life - Poem by Rik Bertrand
Life cries out to eternity for those that die young,
We do not understand the loss of such innocence.
Time takes away the precious and beautiful love
And it leaves us with an invalid and empty presence.
There is howling pain in the soul of the forever caring,
And burning blood leaks from the heart so broken.
No one can stop the tears that run down the cheeks of life,
They are embedded in the memory as a remembrance token.
Lost so young so early in the dawn of this glorious life,
We mourn the bitter truth of Gods decisions.
Time will not heal the sorrow that we endure,
And we must live not knowing Gods true visions.
The cries do not falter in time, they are everlasting,
Those that do not know the pain have no idea.
Bitter comfort lies in the hearts and souls of all,
But humble love is lost in the midst of all the fear.
Bless me lord for I have lost to early in life a loved one,
Bless all who have loss and pain in their hearts.
We shall not falter or lie down in the mud of life,
We shall rise up and know that there is a greater gift
God grant me the will to carry on and live a full life,
To live on to help others as they have honored me.
Amen
REB (SEPT 2012) I have no personal experience in losing someone early in life, but I know those that have. God Bless you.
