A Man Of Many Parts Poem by Bobby Mitchum

A Man Of Many Parts

Rating: 5.0

My chin I got from Great Grand paw
my forehead from my Dad
my hair i got from Great Grand Maw
and my mouth from Uncle Chad
from cousin Mary twice removed
that where i got my teeth
and from uncle Ned I'm told
is where I got my feet,
My name I got from Uncle Bob
and my eyes from Aunt Louise
sometimes it's hard to figure out
which part of me is me,
my hands I got from Uncle Joe
my arms from Moms Aunt sue
some times it gets me so mixed up
I don't know what to do,
for with all these mixed up parts
from folks that are my kin
it's hard for me to figure out
just where myself begins!
' Have you ever heard a relative remark ' oh you look just like your aunt sue when you smile'? Hence, this poem :)
