A Message For Moderns Poem by Thaddeus McDougleberry

A Message For Moderns

The material world
Is everything
Beyond the veil
Is just illusion

That's what they think
They don't know what's real

Death
Is just the beginning
Not the end
There is no death

Man was made everlasting
Man was made eternal
To be played out above
Or somewhere else

Yes, there is a God
His love is fury
That's what these preachers
Don't understand

They know nothing of the soul
In pain
Nothing of the soul
In torment
Eternity really means forever
That's what these fools
Don't understand

The fire
It burns
I'm talking to you

Yes, there is a King of Kings
Yes, there is a Judge of Judges
His unchanging laws
The only laws
That's what these pigs
Don't understand

All skepticism
Means nothing
In the face of truth
Absolute
All pain forever

The God of Creation
His love is fury
How else can you be made
To understand

Man is lost, fallen
Contemptible
Alone he can't get up

The fire
It burns
I'm talking to you
