A Midnight Opera Poem by Kamei Triebell

A Midnight Opera

Cast away your pride
There's nowhere to hide
Say farewell to the sickening sadness
Taste the buss of the flickering madness!
You see a monster in me and I see a monster in you!

Free the killing beast within
The final show is about to begin
Through the slaying of my kin
I shall justify my sin!
You see a monster in me and I see a monster in you!

Throw away this choking passion
From the darkness of this fashion
Through the night, into the sky
This will be the day I die!
You see a monster in me and I see a monster in you!

Listen to this reaping tune
It seems the end has come so soon
Follow me in my sorrow
Until the new day tomorrow!
You see a monster in me and I see a monster in you!

See the blood-lust in my eyes
And make believe these bloody lies
As the roses bleed red
This is what the creature said!
'You see a monster in me and I see a monster in you! '
