A Mighty Departure Poem by Harish Mudaliar

A Mighty Departure

the world is on and fine
cherished by the mercy of god
the sun invading all corners of the earth
inviting man and machine to race with the time
bright sunny day, high held trees
flowing rivers, roaring sea
Dazzling flowers and all seems great
fragrance of joy and smiling faces all around
world around me at it's best of times
signs so perfect for the better future

the mist filled dusk diminished behind the dark
last of the world's glory that i witnessed
sun faded along with the almighty of peace
she never raised again, so did my happiness
the extinction of almighty beyond bounds
overshadowed the earth with sorrow
left me alone in the land of sin
battling and running from the curse of grieve
darkness, fear, pain filling the sphere
screaming children, rotten corpse
blood stains and foul smell all over
the earth looks slayed by the anger of god
left me praying for forgiveness
searching the way out of the souless land
seeking the almighty of peace to reincarn
