A Million Sorry's Is Not Enough Poem by John Fenton Mcleish

A Million Sorry's Is Not Enough

if i could return and right my wrongs
but you can never change copyrighted songs
to erase my sins have no regret
too late now clocks already been set
so it looks like i'll die with a heavy heart
as light as a feather won't be my part
my soul on the scales at judgement day
good deeds bad anubis will have his say
i will not lie in peace my conscience not clear
for the pain i inflicted for every tear
condemned to hell purgatory
a privileged life but criminal history
is there a way to absolve this guilt
is it possible my life can be rebuilt
anyway soon i must heed the great lords call
and upon my head gods gavel will fall
