A Miracle For Those Who Have Lost Hope Poem by Lolita Hiroshi

People say God is dead,
that miracles don't happen,
That love is gone from this world
Well that is not nor ever will be true

Miracles happen all around us
you just need to look
with eyes of faith to see them

Everytime a baby is born,
or someone shows you kindness,
when a loved one returns home from war,
these are miracles that happen everyday

If God is truly dead
then how are we still alive?
our very existence is proof
that God still lives

And if love is gone from this world
then why would a person give their lives
to save someone else's?
is that not what love is?

Everytime the grass grows
everytime the sun rises yet again
everytime you wake up still breathing
a miracle has occurred

for those of you
who have forgotten how to hope
do not despair for love
and goodness are all around you

If there is anyone in your life
who has lost hope for this world
please show this poem to them
show that person God still loves them
