A Missing Piece Poem by Kgasu Thapeli

A Missing Piece

She's my heart;
She makes me, me;
She's a goddess;
She's my weakness;
Who is she?

She's the best;
She makes me whole;
She's my smile;
She's my happiness;
And still she is, my happy place.

She's a queen;
She's my blessing;
She's the closest thing to my heart.
She's herself, as real as they come;
Who is she! ? 'Curiosity killed a cat.'

She's the only thing on my mind.
She's a resident in my heart;
She's the one I love;
The only person I can see myself with;
She's her who makes life meaningful;

It's her who makes dreams come true,
A new purpose of day and night;
The only genie to exist.
She's like a tattoo on my tongue, immovable.
My sweet dreams in nightmares!

A clear perfect picture is crafted;
As I prep for a geniculation moment;
One of those days when nerves kick hard;
I'm that soccer ball, emotions wherevere like a shattered glass;
And the best is yet to come,
But 'she' is imaginary like a fairy tale.
