A Mornings Word Poem by wordsy wright

A Mornings Word

Drawn to the quest for enlightenment
I have been found lost and wandering
Along the path of truth

Yes tis true, that I am but a fool
standing upon the shores of understanding.
Dipping my fingers in the calm of wisdom
just to watch as the droplets splash one upon the other.
Skipping stones of inquisition across the sea of knowledge
just to watch as the ripples form.

It is then that I often pause to wonder
at the effects of the words of a simple poet
upon the thoughts of a world blinded by it’s own self.
Indifferent to the wounds it has inflected upon itself,
and therefore left to suffer in ignorance yet once again.
