As shades of ignorance
once cast in darkness
now stands shinning
before the dawning light
...

I lit a little candle
oh so long ago
just a little flicker
that within my heart did glow
...

I have chosen to follow blindly
the avenues of thought
that find me wandering aimlessly
among the dearms of yesterday.
...

Drawn to the quest for enlightenment
I have been found lost and wandering
Along the path of truth
...

I have sat at the table of sorrow
and tasted the woe of sadness
that has filled my cup
I have tossed in slumber
...

In the middle of the moment
I suddenly realized
...

In a world that's not so giving
there is no forgiving
all the things that we have done
...

And I,
I was a king in the eyes of the man
that looked back from my mirror.
Tall and proud
...

And tis here I seek comfort.
Immersed in the words
placed upon page so pleasingly
pleasant to mine eyes.
...

Now in gentle silence
I pause and I reflect
Upon the thoughts of yesterday
So often I detect
...

Written by the hand of innocents
through the eyes of ignorance
Thoughts in mind, so naïve
to wisdoms side is lent
...

A characterization,
a parody if you please.
Just a reflection of this thing call life,
that driven me to my knees.
...

Just what am I suppose to do

I got one man talking on the T.V.
...

Colors fade,
to a lighter shade,
within the pale moonlight.
Thoughts now lost in reason,
...

As I turned to look behind me
what to my surprise
there upon my coattails
were my dreams found in demise
...

Left with only memories
to comfort my regret
I've found out just how easily
one does soon forget
...

Nothing is all life gave you
And nothing is never a lot
It’s nothing but a case of give and take
When it’s taken all you’ve got
...

There are thoughts that seem to leave me
In a distant sort of mind
Ideas that seldom seem to fit
With others of their kind
...

I watched in awe
At the muse's flaw
In the words I wrote that night
And the thoughts
...

If I’d of thought for a moment
I never would of believed
Or even thought it possible
Nor could I conceive
...

A Mornings Word

As shades of ignorance
once cast in darkness
now stands shinning
before the dawning light
of another day.
Faith has once again
brought us before the rising
of yet another sun
and renewed the promise
of hope eternal that graces
our hearts with the blessed thoughts
that fill the lives of those we love,
while we strive once again to rise above
the clouds of doubt that darken
a future at best unknown.
