A Most Treasured Gift Poem by Florinda Valin Hall

A Most Treasured Gift

sometimes the slop is slippery and we slide
and get wounded yet we help ourselves
we get up and walk and lick our wounds
what faced us might be uncertain and we rally on!
our strength somehow gives way as
our journey's might be long and tiresome
that does not mean -
we are giving up...that does not mean surrender
we are only resting...charging our batteries
because life as it is.. might be such long journey
of difficult and winding roads
of steep and dangerous cliffs
and of hurtful hail stones and giant waves
yet we swim across and we somehow reach a shore
we are not not trodden...we soldier on..
we fight against all odds because life is what it is
and we thank Thee for every dropp of it..
for our life and for what it is....a most treasured gift.
