A Mother's Heart Poem by Winston Lu1

A Mother's Heart

Beyond a child's delighted features
Mirrors the beauty of their soul
Immersed, baptized simple purity
Reflective mom's nurturing heart

Carefree smiles spared of pretense
Inherits mother's fine grace
Like a fledgling brand new saga
Setting sail to find your place

With eyes bright and bedazzled
Please never disguise the face
Of hope and thoughtful caring
Ever adorned by mom's embrace

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I had recently seen a stirring image on the internet depicting mothers and children. Kind of made me feel like thinking about what that relationship is like. Well what the hell do I know I am just a dad. Well I guess I am a son too, but when do we every think about that stuff when we are growing up.
