A Mother's Love Poem by LaShawanda Ivey

A Mother's Love

Rating: 5.0

Here you are growing inside of me
I touch my stomach to feel you kick
To me that's pain
But to God it's life waiting for you come into the world
I hear your heart beat It sounds like a little drummer boy
beating on a drum
I touch my stomach I think to myself I'm carrying a little miracle
from the heavens above that God has blessed me with
Now it's time I'm feeling you coming out of me
As the doctor spanks you
I hear you cry
My heart is filled with joy
Then I look at all your fingers and toes just to make sure they are all there.
I look into your eyes and make a vow to you that I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU!
