A Mother's Love Poem by Elizabeth Muller

A Mother's Love

To a mom who always cares for me
A super special way
A mom who loves me none the less
How can I even repay?

In times when I need you the most
You are always there
And even when I hurt you deep
You still show that you care

It hurts me when I see you cry
Because I love you so
I love to see you smile so bright
A happy spirit glow

I see God’s love through what you do
Each and every day
It tells me that you love me too
In each and every way

You do the things not most would do
That’s what makes you unique
Sometimes I may take that advantage
Will you please forgive me?

I couldn’t live a single day
If you were just to die
My heart would break
but because
Of faith I’d have to try

You hug me when I’m lonely
You tell me that I’m great
You are the best, no joke, hands down
It’s nothing I’d debate

So mother dearest, you’re my star
The one I look up to
Someday I hope to be the best
And be something like you
