A Mother's Voice Poem by Sasha Olivia Williams

A Mother's Voice

Rating: 5.0

When she came, I fret each day;
But I felt calm with her in my arm.
Her little fingers clanged to mine;
Her fragile face brightly shines.

I protect her, never leave her;
Even though she's her father's daughter.
A miracle, a blessing, my never ending;
Thank you Lord for my sweet darling.

I take deep breaths, for its not easy;
For each day I tackle bravely.
Keep still, be careful, please take this spoonful.
I cried, I tried my best, to keep up with the test.

Its hard for some part, still I show well calm;
Her smiles stretch for miles, even with her screeching cries.
The hugs and soft touches, the well taught studies;
Melt my heart, she's my bundle of joy, my future star.

Everyday I pray, for long life and prosperity.
Worried thoughts, baffled signs;
Wanting her to stay by my side.
My pride and joy, I will always love her;
No matter what she decides.
