The sun rose on this day with noteworthy vigour
The breeze stood-still with trustworthy candour
The flag whistled a chorus, with immeasurable pride
The red, the white and the green chimed

Together in peace and prosperity we shall lead

From a bottomless pit we have been restored
The national heritage once again is redeemed
This voyage can still encounter perilous storms
Yet we have hope to surpass such uncanny norms

Here is to a new beginning of hope and faith
This day, we honour a commando as the "seventh"
To steer this soiled ship to a salient destination
With equality and justice in plentiful affirmation
