A Need - Poem by Prateek Sehgal
fly fly fly!
In the greater heights of the sky.
Capture your dreams!
never let your height defy,
your desires to fly.
But you'll come one day to me,
to crave what you feed.
Because its only here,
you can find the food you need.
You may detest the profundity of my existence,
but you can never kill the urge inside you.
You may be the winner of the heights,
but you cannot defeat what is true.
It will fall, yes it will fall...
your obstinate desire!
And what will burn you down,
would be your own fire...
And that day I'll see you starve,
and that day I'll see you cry..
Because, I am your struggle to stay alive
and I am your means to try.
You will never see it with your stubborn eyes,
that I am not the taker but the giver of this life,
I am not your foe, but your strength in this strife.
