A Better Plan (Near MRS.)
With the wind at your back, set sail a mast
What distance you travel, leaving the past
As if God intended, you were blown away
Drawn to a new journey, somewhere beyond today.
For you it's all about changing
Things up, instead of rearranging
For I cannot see what fate has in store
Pulling on heartstrings, I'm anchored to the shore.
So let the wind blow away these dreams
For we are two ships, each on their own course
Although we came close, we did not collide in time
Creating another of many near misses.
Who is this woman I'm hoping to find?
A part of a better plan undefined,
Where fate shows up and guides my ship
And I am not left to harbor a feeling of loss
For all of the ones who tied other knots.
I await God's better plan with faith that you will find me.
