A New Love - Poem by Rose Marie Jackson

My love has died
And gone away
It's hard to face
Each passing day

My heart's so empty
My life's so vain
I'm filled with memories
I'm filled with pain

Can you love
Stand by my side
Can you love
Fill my heart with pride

I need your love
To see me through
Can you understand
What I'm going through

It's been so long
Since I've been held
And caressed
I need your love
I need your touch.
