The rain gushed down from open heavens
And the wind broke free from the east,
The night dampened in its darkness
Our noses were drenched in soggy scents
The rain shizzled off hot coal-tars
And the wind carresed our skins,
The night was beautiful and wet
And it hooked our hearts on bliss
Long into the night we sat and stared
At the generosity of the broken sky,
Wordless and contented we smiled
Deep into the rainy night.
