A Pair For Laura Poem by ted de Hallam

A Pair For Laura

Solo

She laughed when he got up to play
Upon his organ one fine day
But stayed and later said in awe
'I was there that day, you know
When ted lawton stood to play
Upon his organ one fine day
Solo he was just four feet ten
I wish I'd stayed in Biddulph then'.

Night Nurse

Laura, lady of the night
Dispensing potions, pills and light
To the lonely and the wish they were
Only lonely and not as they are
Up to their necks in dirty agua
Sinking.........
'Slowly, silently, now the moon
Walks the night, sh-boom, sh-boom.
