Perhaps my abysmal soul drove you away
Perhaps my scars were to much to bare
But I was not the only one to blame

You deceived others by hiding through your intelligence
You hid behind my mistakes

You spoke of things you did not practice
You sat on your high horse for everyone to see
You disguised yourself with your tongue

But I saw you for who you were
I saw a part of me in you

We thought we were good for each other
Now I believe we brought out the worst in each other
Now I can see we weren't as sincere as we once thought

I will not forget the laughter and tears we shared
I will not let our ending taint the good in us

It's hard going on with out you
You will forever be engraved in my soul
You will always be a part of me
I will never be the same

When you left, a piece of me was chipped away
But I know letting go was the best for the both us.
