A Place Poem by Ellie Foe

A Place

Rating: 4.5

I would like a place

A place
that shields me from the horrors of people
and myself

Somewhere I can forget the day,
where I can just lay

a small corner of invisibility
where I don't have to think.

A hole I can fall in.
Away from the tight suburbs of big ears.
And where the gazes of hungry eyes can't follow.

A home of isolation,
Where I don't have to listen.

A secret village of my heart
Where I don't have to hide

Please.

A place of tranquility is what you are looking for. A great poem.
