A Place Where Dreams Come True (Loop) Poem by Taylor Dixon

A Place Where Dreams Come True (Loop)

Moonbeams shimmer across the grass
Grass dances playfully in the breeze
Breeze blows through the open window of my room
Room dark and quiet
Quiet shadows creep in corners and under my bed
Bed is where I lie; sleeping.
Sleeping soundlessly; dreaming.
Dreaming is the only way I can get there.
There mermaids frolic in clear, sparkling water.
Water trips and falls over the creek’s rocks
Rocks that are not really rocks at all; but fallen stars
Stars that giggle throughout the night sky
Sky is where you’ll find unicorns flying
Flying over the whispering trees
Trees that hum forgotten lullabies
Lullabies that you will only ever hear, here.
Here is the place where all dreams come true
True is not a word, but a promise.
Promise you won’t leave
Leave only when the sun pushes away the moon
Moon must leave, but will be back soon
Soon you will return
Return back to Dreamland.
