A Poem A Day
A poem a day keeps the nightmares at bay,
a few pretty words to shunt the monsters away.
A good book or two provides an easy escape,
wrapping day-to-day hardships literary tape.
A record or four of your best-loved songs,
played on repeat to flatten the wrongs
of the world as it spins, unaware and at ease
with the rest of its people, so eager to please.
