*A poem under the umbrella of War*
I an writing
inside the wound of war.
My dear enemy!
call it indecency:
I keep a pulse of words
at the gun's dark mouth.
They harden into silence.
I breathe them back
refuse their burial.
Words here
do not die cleanly
they clot,
they blister into silence,
they fossilize on the tongue.
I petition their return
l empower my words and bang.
You do not know this:
beneath the sanctioned armor,
under the authorized symbols,
I enter the field
already contaminated
with love
I am writing
so that even here,
where everything insists on ending,
something unnamed
keeps beginning.
