A Poet's Love Poem by Siff Faroh

A Poet's Love

I had a love once
as fair as summer
and basked
from the sunlight
from her hair
and kissed her sweet
scent in the air
and held a warm embrace
to face
the glowing rays
of my love, hers to care
or her love, mine to care
but now to a thought to her I stutter
for if I had written,
read,
and known,
I'd probably rhyme better
