A Poignant Question Poem by BASAB CHAUDHURI

A Poignant Question

Every time you visit me
I ask you your name,
Next time you come to me
I forget the same.

I know you don't mind,
You feel it 's my age,
Could you please find
I am at what stage?

I don't write cheque any more,
Never, never I open the door.
You know, it is progressing fast -
I know I'm stepping to the last.

What do I tell you today?
Ask if He can tell you the day.
Stay safe, take care, my dear you, Know for sure I'll be in the milieu.
