A Pool Of Your Lies Poem by tanesha davenport

A Pool Of Your Lies

Rating: 2.7

My heart is beginning to separate from yours
I don’t want to let you go, now I’m fighting all your wars
The lies you hide, now begin to surface the ground
The silence is too much to bear, but still no one makes a sound
You try to hold on for one last kiss
But the ground begin to shake and you miss
I hold your hand, trying not to let go
I love you so much, don’t you know
The lies now begin to flood us and were drowning
Our once smiling faces now begin frowning
We both try to fight our way to the surface, for a chance to breathe
But the lies cut like a knife, now begin to sheathe
I don’t want to let you go, but we cant pull this back together
I thought that our love would be here to last forever
You give me one last look before you go under
I see your smiling face fade away, then hear the sound of thunder
You whisper I love you I’m sorry before you disappear
Its not enough to save us even though it sounded sincere
