four years old and left all alone
four years old and on his own
left alone to wonder why
why did mommy and daddy have to die
dreaming that they will come back someday
four years old and learning to pray
praying that they'll come back home tonight
cracking the door so they can come tuck him in tight
eating all his carrots and peas
he hates them, but he hopes his parents will be pleased
brushing his teeth and combing his hair
looking in the mirror and hoping they will be there
when they are not there a part of him dies
sadden because he never said his goodbyes
finally giving up; learning not to care
numb from the life he had to bare
scared to get close to anyone afraid they'll leave
so he sits alone in the in the classroom unhappy
he hides behind his fear with hate
no longer letting god control his fate
in the ends we all now he cares
about the parents he wishes was there
his now souless heart bleeds
broken from all the love he needs
music is the only thing that soothe his soul
music some what fills that empty hole
