A Prayer For Bingo Players Poem by bob barci

A Prayer For Bingo Players

Lord -
I am pleased to see my Wednesday night friends.
We gather in your playroom for a friendly game.
Give me the strength to endure the smokers.
Let the caller call at a pace that is just right -
don’t rush those with many
or let those with few fall asleep waiting.
And may the caller call what I need.
If not, may someone in the little group around me,
leave tonight with more than they began with.
And Lord -
I pray that tonight or sometime real soon,
I get to raise my voice in praise.
Praise that you deserve
when I get to shout out BINGO! ! !
