A Prisoners Silence. Poem by Ezra Scarlet

A Prisoners Silence.

Rating: 5.0

It rains down
It falls
It distorts my reflection
The ripples spreading out wide
My face, reflected in the water
Blurred, broken.

All of my screams
Seem to fall on deaf ears.
My reaching hands
Grasp nothing but air.

You cannot see me
You cannot hear me
You cannot feel my touch
But still, tear tracks leave trails across my face.

You stab me, you torture me, you taunt me so.
You are my greatest foe.

Inside, I'll suffer in silence
I am one, I am only

A prisoner of silence.
