A –pseudo Me Poem by jyoti saxena

A –pseudo Me

These walls
That I‘ve built around me
Have taken years to develop
Years of silent struggle
To attain for myself a place
Among my so called friends
Not to forget my relatives.
But now
I know better.
I’ve learnt that it doesn’t pay
To do what other’s expect of you
Transforming yourself into
Someone you’re not
And probably never will be.
But these walls that I’ve built
Are strong walls-
And cannot easily be broken
For they’ve been constructed
With bricks of
Anger, rejection,
Sarcasm, repulsion;
Cemented with mixture of tears
And bitterness;
Erected on a foundation of fear.

I’ve learnt that it doesn’t pay To do what other’s expect of you Transforming yourself into Someone you’re not................yeah fake personality is difficult to maintain............it is burdensome, one must be true to self and true to God even at risk of alienating the relatives, Any even if you don't do that they are not going to please by you........A Good Write..
