A Quiet Night Poem by a nobody named maui

A Quiet Night

Rating: 5.0

oftentimes
the stillnes of the night
beckons to me
and i am enfolded in its mystery
oftentimes, these moments
urge me to dream
as hard as i can,
and still i'm empty
oftentimes,
the darkness sings
a haunting melody
but as dark is always blind,
there is cause for sadness.
pain
and agony
beyond the depths
of hell itself
this night
enshrouds me in quiet misery
how i wished i had
a thousand candles
or your warmth
beside me.
