A Radical Poem by Michael P. Johnson

A Radical

Rating: 5.0

A RADICAL
A radical for love and right
Life's answer true and free
Walking within God's Living Light
For all the world to see

Free of this life's condemning shame
Redemption's battles won
A radical with heart aflame
For Christ God's Lamb and Son

For Christ The King on Heaven's throne
For Christ my Lord divine
A radical of flesh and bone
Forever more to shine

Radical for The living Christ
Glowing on bended knee
Adoring Jesus sacrificed
Upon that dreadful tree

As humble beacon on a hill
For others lost below
By grace of God and Heaven's will
This radical will glow

I'm not ashamed for Christ to stand
Though be it night or day
I'm radical within His hand
For all God's sheep astray

Yes; radical's my boastful cry
In gratitude above
Until the day I rise on high
Into the arms of love

I'm not ashamed for Christ to rise
My future's hope is sure
As radical I'll claim life's prize
Beyond my Father's door
