A Real Man Indeed Poem by Vusi Mxolisi Zitha

A Real Man Indeed

After saying all this, his wife smiled
and hugged him saying;
"I'm very proud to have you as my husband,

You are a real man with a good heart

A true soldier of justice, you plead the case of the innocent

You look beyond appearances and stick to your assurances

What makes a man is not how violent he is

But how he acts against violence

What makes a man is not how abusive he is

But the role he plays against abuse

A real man protects, he doesn't attack.

Like a lion protecting his pride, they protect the weak from brutality

Like a fowl incubate her eggs, they shield the innocent from danger,

You bad man;

How long will you choose injustice over justice?

How long will you regard the weak as fowls and consider yourself a fox?

How long will women suffer in your hands of brutality?

And children cry in your conduct of immortality?

Take a look at this real man,

He is a true model of integrity,

A hope that progressed from possibility to actuality.

He doesn't shy away from the truth, and the fact that you're a brute

He does good to change the bad he sees

He says; I'm a police, against all based violence

He says I'm police against all based abuse

He is an agent of change to a troubled world

A mouthpiece of the silent

Learn good morals from him,

Change your attitude towards humanity

Save our women and children and be a man
