A Rhythm Deep Inside Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

A Rhythm Deep Inside

I'm not the humblest, nor the most devout,
But still, I know His plan is playing out.
It works for me, just as it's meant to be,
A perfect rhythm, deep inside of me.

I walk my path, not always with the crowd,
My tunes may differ, whispered, not too loud.
But in the play, I find my given role,
And try to follow, with my heart and soul.

I don't keep pace with all, my given songs,
The words they sing, I may not hum along,
To fit the part, the role I'm meant to fill,
But follow close, the melody with will.

Sometimes the words, they whisper in my ear,
A change of phrase, to make the meaning clear.
But deep inside, a natural compass guides,
Those innate nudges, where my true self hides.

And with that feeling, peace begins to bloom,
Mentally and emotionally, dispelling gloom.

Sometimes a lyric needs a slight tweak here or there,
A change to fit the message, loud and clear.
Yet still, I trust the whispers from within,
The natural guides, where my true journey begins.

And in this space, this path I'm meant to tread,
I find my peace, no fear, no doubt, no dread.
My mind is clear, my spirit feels so bright,
Bathed in the warmth, of His own loving light.
