A Rising - Poem by CHOUDHURI SUKUMAR

And some late afternoons
become loaded with memories for him.

Sitting under the hot tiled roof, he perspires
The twentyone years of his past
appear to him as long night of slumber

And shaking off all this
he comes out to the street
and thinks of living in a different way
