There is a room within my heart
That I adorn with fragrant flowers
Iridescent birds and beetles bright
Flashing dragonflies, and leafy bowers
Sublime and elegant words
Trembling dewdrops light from passing showers
and there is never waste, nor night
But only a lover's soft eternal hours
My room is walled, my heart is sheltered sure
with patient trembling, with pearly tears
For climbing tendrils shelter only dreams
and dandelion wishes, wandering years
No errant valiant knight
to breach a bastion strong and forest wild
With charging steed to carry and to claim
Wild heart, wild love, this woman, girl and child
