Will You Come Poem by Josephine Collett

Will You Come

Rating: 5.0

Will you come to me, unbidden
through the vast unreached chasms of my mind
when the world has forsaken and forgotten
all that I aspired to, a world rejecting and unkind
will you be my comfort and my song
thought too deep to disregard, my self
swallowed into yours, my answer, my reward
the One who knew and knows me all along

I cannot speak of love to you, who is love itself
I cannot question, you, who knows my ways
I cannot shape myself to you, who moulds me
daily by your ever present grace
Your love outstrips me as I run away, endures me
when I fail, draws my breath in wonderment and awe
sustains me every day
and promises your presence evermore.

Josephine, welcome to this site. You are quite an accomplished poetess, even though new to this site, I know you must have been writing for many years! I am happy to make your acquaintance here! Loved this inspiring poem here. Blessings, Robert Edgar Burns (Rob)
