A Rustic Professor Of English Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

A Rustic Professor Of English

A rustic professor of English
He did his schooling from a remote village school
Of Bihar's Anga region
Reading English through Angika dialect,
His secondary from Mithila region
Speaking Maithili
And B.A. and M.A. from Magadha and Pataliputra region
And after his Ph.D. from Bihar or U.P.'s Bhojpur area
Slipped to the Northeast
As for to be a professor
Of some Assam college
Ready to go as far as Mizoram.

Now a distance mode director of English studies
With the additional charge of
Rural studiies, tribal studies,
I mean a renowned professor of Hindustani English
With online certificates
From Haryanvi, Cchatishgarhi English and foreign language schools,
Workshops attended
In Balochistan, Sindh, Junagadh through online mode.

A resource person for Sylhet, Chittagong
Of Bangladesh,
Crossing Murshidabad and Jungipur,
Of Bhutan and Nepal,
He is now an international scholar
So outstanding and famous,
He can be a resource
Now forgetting British and American English,
He remains glued to rural studies and tribal studies
And to write on Gujarati English, Maharashtrian English his job.
